Description

The Village Hall, dating from the mid-19th century, was originally a Nonconformist chapel. It features a gable end facing the road and is constructed of gault brick with an asbestos roof that has a gable end parapet supported by kneelers. The corners of the building are accentuated by two-stage angle buttresses. The gable end includes a sealed bulls eye window, while the doorway is set within a two-centred double recessed arch topped with a gable. The side elevation consists of three bays, each with two-centred arches and labels above fixed light windows that are fitted with iron glazing bars.
