Description

The Eaton Oak is a 19th-century building, likely dating from the earlier middle of the century. Originally known as Squire's Farmhouse (Crosshall), it stands on the west side of the Great North Road in Eaton Ford. It is a two-storey building with a double-fronted design, featuring three windows. The roof is slate-covered, with projecting eaves and prominent gable stacks. The walls are built of gault brick. The recessed sash windows have gauged flat brick arches and glazing bars. A central first-floor window is rounded with radial glazing bars. A round-arched doorway features a wooden doorcase with pilasters supporting a cornice, a half-glazed door, and a fanlight.
