Description
Crosshall is a 17th-century timber-framed house that was refronted in the early 18th century and has undergone later alterations. The original layout consists of two ground floor rooms with an internal chimney and an additional room at the rear, following the RCHM type L design. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring three windows along with a later 19th-century extension at the east end that matches the original style. It has a tiled roof with gable coping and stacks. The exterior is constructed of red brick, with plain brick eaves and first-floor bands. The windows are recessed sash types with glazing bars and blind hoods. The entrance includes an architraved doorway with a bracketed hood and a fielded and panelled door. Inside, the ceiling beams are adorned with scroll stops.
