Description

Old Cottage is a mainly 17th-century, timber-framed and plastered cottage with thatched roofs, designed in an L-plan with one storey and an attic. The ridge stack has been recently rebuilt. The street facade features two casement windows on the gable of the west wing and two windows on the south range. Inside, the exposed timber frame reveals two timber-framed bays from an earlier building, with a 17th-century floor inserted, which forms the center of the two 17th-century wings. There are two restored inglenook hearths and stop-chamfered ceiling beams.
