Description

Gransden Cottage and the Granary is a late 17th century timber-framed and plastered cottage featuring a two-unit plan and an original lobby entry. The building has one storey and an attic, topped with a half-hipped thatched roof and an original red brick ridge stack. It includes two dormer windows and three ground floor casement windows with lattice lights. Inside, the cottage showcases an exposed timber frame and two inglenook hearths. Attached to the west of the cottage is an early 19th century timber-framed and plastered bakehouse, which has a painted brick end stack to the west, a modern tiled roof with one dormer window, and three casement windows with lattice lights.
