Description

Savernake is a 17th-century cottage with a three-unit plan and a possible later wing on the left side. It is a single storey with attics, constructed from timber framing and rough-cast, topped with plain tile roofs. The building features a reduced central ridge stack and an external stack made of local red brick on the right side. The south elevation has two modern casement windows and a bay window. Inside, there is a sealed inglenook hearth and a carved ceiling beam marked with '-1667 S', along with panelling that may date from the 17th century, featuring a carved frieze.
