Description
The Old Inn House is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of Back Lane in Holywell-cum-Needingworth. It has an L-shaped plan and is one storey high with attics. The building features a rendered timber-frame and a thatched roof that is hipped to the left, with a brick parapetted gable wall on the right. There is an end stack and a ridge stack. The cottage has two thatched dormers, each with casement windows that include glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two similar three-light casement windows. Inside, the cottage boasts stop-chamfered ceiling beams and two inglenook hearths, along with an enclosed staircase.
