Description
Moynes Hall is a 17th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Back Lane in Holywell. It has a T-plan layout and is two-storeys high, with a later extension added to the south wing. The main range features a combination of rendered timber-frame and colour-washed brick, topped with old plain tile roofs, while the 19th-century dairy and wash-house have a pantile roof. There are two ridge stacks, and the left-hand wing and extension have a saw-tooth eaves cornice and a hipped plain tile roof. The building includes two first-floor horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, and a similar three-light window on the ground floor to the left of a half-glazed door. To the right, there is a two-storey bay window from the 19th century. Inside, the main range consists of four bays with an original side purlin roof, featuring stop-chamfered ceiling beams and cross-beams.
