Description
Goodyers Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with a symmetrical plan, featuring one storey and attics. It has a casing of gault brick and a gable on the right side. The building includes a tumbled parapet gable and an end stack with a moulded cornice, which has two diagonally set shafts made of local two-inch brick on the left side. There is a large central ridge stack and a thatched roof with one hipped dormer. The ground floor has three hung sash windows and one casement window, all with glazing bars set in segmental arches. The central entrance features a half-glazed door and a rustic porch. Inside, the farmhouse has stop-chamfered ceiling beams, three large inglenook hearths (two of which are sealed), and one original small hearth on the first floor that is raised above floor level with a chamfered and stopped brick arch. There are also two enclosed staircases.
