Description

The Church of St Neot is a Congregational church, built circa 1887-9 by Edward G Paine in the Gothic style. It comprises a four-bay nave and sanctuary, with a south gallery. The building has a slated roof, red brick walls, stone dressings, and terra-cotta decoration. It features arched, traceried windows within projecting bays. A three-stage south tower with an octagonal belfry surmounted by a small slated spire is prominent; the tower buttresses extend upwards as pinnacles. The main south entrance is defined by an arched doorway with a square hood mould. Above the entrance is a terra-cotta monogram panel, inscribed with "Built AD 1888".
