Description

The lodge at the entry to the cemetery was built in 1867-1868 by G. W. Stephenson. It is constructed from rusticated stone and features steeply pitched slate roofs, end parapets, and stone stacks. The building has an asymmetrical plan and consists of one storey and an attic. The elevation facing the roadway entry includes a gable with a lancet above a canted bay that has cross-frame casements, some of which retain their original leaded lights. The doorway is set within a four-centred chamfered arch. This lodge is included for its group value.
