Description

Brinke House is a late 18th-century house located in Wisbech, with alterations to the front facade dated 1874, as indicated by a terracotta plaque. The house is constructed of local brown brick with a slate and pantiled roof, and has tumbled parapet gables and end stacks. It is two storeys high. A stepped pediment sits above a small, central first-floor 19th-century canted bay window. Two first-floor replacement casement windows are set within segmental arches. The front entrance features a half-glazed, panelled door, flanked by two-light hung sash windows with glazing bars, also within segmental arches. A rear wing has been added to the original outshut. Photographs and prints, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, are held in the Wisbech & Fenland Museum.
