Description

Nos 20 and 20A on Market Hill is a late 17th century house that has been converted into a shop. The building features a timber frame with herring-bone pattern brick infill on the rear wall and is rough cast rendered. It has a slate roof with gault brick end stacks and stands two storeys tall. The front has two gabled dormers with later casement windows. On the first floor, there are two modern casements and one 19th century casement with an ovolo mullion. A central projecting bay is topped with a flat canopy that has a cornice and a carved frieze, and the soffit is adorned with raised and fielded panelling. The ground floor has modern shop windows.
