Description

This is an early 18th-century estate cottage, built by John Tharp. It forms the south-east cottage of a pair known as Phantom Cottages. The cottage is constructed of local gault brick with a half-hipped roof covered in plain tiles. It features a dentil brick eaves cornice and a tall square ridge stack. The building is one storey high with an attic space, and has two gabled dormer windows. The windows are modern replacements, consisting of casements. A central boarded door is set within a porch.
