Description

Nos 18, 19, 20, and 21 High Street are four estate cottages, arranged as two pairs with linking side passages and store rooms. They were built in the late 18th century or early 19th century for John Tharp, the owner of Chippenham Park. The cottages are constructed of painted brick and feature hipped plain tile roofs, flanked by single-storey pantiled side passages and store rooms. They are one storey with an attic and have two square brick ridge stacks. The eaves cornice is dentilated. The cottages include four casement dormer windows, and the six windows at ground floor level include three with iron lattice casements set in wooden frames.
