Description

No. 7 New Street is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, likely one of six built by Lord Orford after the emparkment of the village. The cottage is constructed with a timber frame and is plastered, featuring painted brick, clunch, and flint in the attic floor. It has a side stack made of gault brick on the north-west and a ridge stack. The roof is covered with red pantiles from the 19th century. The building has one storey and an attic, with three casement dormer windows, three ground floor casement windows, and two boarded doors, one of which is a sealed central entrance.
