Description
30 St Mary's Street is an early 19th-century house built from gault brick. It has two storeys and features a five-window range with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The central doorway is topped with a rectangular fanlight and framed by a wooden doorcase with reeded pilasters and a cornice. The ground storey includes a small 20th-century shop front. The roof is tiled.
This building is part of a group that includes Nos 20, 22, 22A, 24 to 30 (even), 34, 36, 36A, 38, and 40 to 60 (even), as well as Nos 13 to 29 (odd) and 29A, Parson's Almshouses, and Nos 1 to 5 (odd) Downham Road. It also forms a group with No 20 Church Lane and the Parish Church of St Mary.
