Description

Stevens Mill is an early 19th-century tower mill located on Mill Lane in Burwell. The building is constructed from clunch, which is plastered and tarred, and features a domed cap with a finial. It retains one of its original four sailstocks, along with shafts for the fantail and gearing. The mill is currently under restoration and stands four storeys tall. Inside, there is contemporary wooden and iron machinery, with three pairs of stones located on the first floor and bins on the second floor. The ground floor has two entrances with boarded doors, while each floor level has replacement casement windows.
