Description
No. 46 High Street is a house dating from the early 18th century. It features clunch rear and gable walls, with a red brick facade facing west that has been painted. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has end stacks and parapet gables. The building is two storeys tall, with attics and a basement, and has a symmetrical three-bay facade, along with a rear wing. Notable architectural details include a sawtooth eaves cornice, a band between the floors, and a plinth. The facade has three four-paned flush-framed hung sash windows set in segmental arches, with two similar windows flanking a closed porch from around 1920 that has a half-glazed door.
