Description

The building is a barn and warehouse, which forms an integral unit, located on the bank of the River Snailwell at the highest navigation point. It dates from the late 16th century and features six timber-framed bays that are weather boarded. The roof is covered with red pantiles, and the rafters have been renewed. The two end bays to the south were originally two storeys high and have two mullioned windows in the west elevation. Peg holes on the studs suggest that the first floor was used as a dovehouse at some point. The roof to the north has been sealed for use as a modern workshop.
