Description
Washington House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a brick plinth, painted brick, and clunch. There is an additional bay to the west that was partly rebuilt in the 19th century, and a later rear outshut. The roofs are made of slate and pantile, with the house roof being hipped and featuring end stacks. The building has two storeys and three sixteen-paned flush-framed hung sash windows on the first floor, along with three similar windows on the ground floor. The original door, located to the right of centre, has six raised and fielded panels and is framed by a moulded wooden architrave with a bracketed hood.
