Description

Old Needhams School, now the Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely County Council Teacher's Centre, is an 18th-century brick building designed in a T-shaped plan. It is fronted with Haddenham bricks and features red brick dressings. The front displays an inscription about the endowment of the house along with the date 1740. The building has two storeys and an eight-window range, with mullioned and transomed casements that include leaded lights. A raised brick band runs between the storeys, and the roof is tiled.
