Description
The Fountain Public House is an early 19th-century building made of gault brick, standing two storeys high. The north front features a four-window range, while the east front has a single window range. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in flush cased frames. The entrance includes a rectangular fanlight above a wooden doorcase, which is adorned with pilasters and a cornice. A late 19th-century extension has been added to the rear, on the south side. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. The Fountain Public House, along with Nos 5 to 13 (odd), forms a group.
