Description

No 5 Silver Street is a 15th century building made of stone rubble, featuring dressed stone quoins, a stopped gable at the east end, and a plinth. Originally two cottages, it has been converted into one tenement and has one storey with attics. The front has three small 20th century casement windows with segmental brick lintels. At the east end, there is a small stone-dressed window with leaded lights. The east gable includes one stone mullioned window with leaded lights that provides light to the attic. The roof is covered with Old Cambridgeshire tiles and includes one gabled dormer. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 and 5 to 13 (odd).
