Description

This is a range of early 19th century houses built of grey gault brick. The building has two storeys and a ten-window frontage. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The doorways have stucco door surrounds, featuring pilasters and cornices supported on console brackets, with simple rectangular fanlights above. Two doorways retain their original two-panel doors. The roofs are slate-covered and feature a brick dentilled eaves cornice.

The property forms a group with the numbers 13 to 29 (odd), 29A (Parson's Almshouses), 20, 22, 22A, numbers 24 to 30 (even), numbers 34, 36, 36A, 38, numbers 40 to 60 (even), number 20 Church Lane, the Parish Church of St Mary, and also forms a group with numbers 1 to 5 Downham Road.
