Description
Sundial House, originally known as the Jolly Gardeners Public House, dates back to 1781, as indicated by the sundial on the gable end. The house features narrow gault brick that is painted on the front, and it has a steeply pitched plain tiled roof with tumbled end parapets, along with ridge and end stacks. There is a dentil eaves cornice and a band separating the two storeys. The main range of the building includes a lower service wing at the rear, which is pantiled. The front has three flush frame hung sashes, each with twelve panes, set beneath segmental arches. Additionally, there is an early 19th-century bow shop front within its original architrave, along with two similar hung sashes and two doorways that feature early 19th-century doorcases.
