Description

Cross Green House is an early 19th-century house. It is constructed of gault brick, now plaster-rendered, with a low-pitched slate roof and end stacks. The house is arranged as a range of five original recessed sash windows, each with twelve panes. Four larger sash windows with margin lights flank the central doorway. The doorcase is distinguished by engaged Doric columns supporting an entablature.

Inside, the hall retains original paving, and an open-string staircase rises over two flights to a landing with square section balusters.

The house was formerly known as The Vicarage and was located on Churchgate Street.
