Description

This is a house, dating to around 1800, with a rear extension added in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of local brick, laid in a Flemish bond pattern on the front elevation, with gault brick stretchers and red brick headers. The steeply pitched roof is parapetted and covered in asbestos slates. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a band separating the two storeys. Four first-floor windows have flush frame sashes with twelve panes each. Two similar windows with sixteen panes flank the central doorway, which has a stucco-panelled surround, a flat hood with a moulded cornice, and enriched brackets. The interior features reused timber in the partition walls. One room is cellared, and a first-floor room from the mid-19th century retains original plaster cornices, marble fireplace surrounds, panelled doors, and shutters.
