Description

Nos 10 to 14 Bridge Street and No 16 Round Church Street are buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries, with No 12 dating back to around 1600. Originally, Nos 10 and 16 Round Church Street were part of a single structure, but No 10 is now connected internally to No 11, which was originally built with No 12. Nos 13 and 14 continue from the same building line.

No 16 Round Church Street is two storeys tall with an attic, featuring a plastered exterior, four sash windows, and two gabled dormers beneath an old tiled roof. It currently houses modern shops. The buildings from Nos 10 to 14 were originally three separate two-storey structures, with the corner building lacking an attic. They have plastered fronts, a central jetty with three triple-hung sash windows supported by consoles and cornices, a parapet, and an old tiled mansard roof with two dormers. The house to the west has two sash windows and a mansard roof, while the corner house has a slate roof.

Some original internal features remain; No 10 includes a room with 17th-century panelling and an 18th-century staircase. No 12 contains some panelling and a late 18th-century staircase but has undergone significant internal alterations. These buildings, along with Nos 8 to 19, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Church of St Clement, form a cohesive group.
