Description
Wentworth House, located on Chesterton Road, is a late 18th-century building. It features a symmetrical front and stands two storeys tall with attics. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a tiled mansard roof. A moulded wooden cornice runs below a low wooden parapet. The façade includes three windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor windows each have three lights. The central doorcase is set in a semi-circular headed recess and features a six-panelled door with a moulded architrave, side pilasters, a frieze, and a dentilled cornice. Additionally, there are three flat-topped dormers. The original staircase remains intact, along with other original and early 19th-century internal features.
