Description
Dial House is a 18th-century building located on Cambridge Road in Godmanchester. It features two storeys with attics, constructed of red brick and topped with a hipped tile roof. The building has a coved plaster cornice and a band between the storeys. There are five windows, two of which are blocked; the upper middle window has a shaped soffit to a brick arch. A flat-topped dormer is present, and the doorway has a moulded architrave, cornice, and pediment, which is now covered by a Victorian porch. The entrance includes a six-panel door with two glazed panels. A sundial is also located on the property. The windows are flush framed sashes with glazing bars, with the west elevation showing blocked windows. Inside, many original features remain, including a staircase with turned balusters, moulded rails, and square newels.
