Description

Plantagenet House comprises two separate buildings located at numbers 20 and 21 in Earn Street, Godmanchester. Number 20 is a 17th-century timber-framed building, with some plastering and some exposed timbering, and a tiled roof. It has a two-storey and attic plan in an L-shape. A prominent gable end facing the street contains a gabled oriel window. Original chimney stacks feature grouped diagonal shafts. The north end of the street frontage has a gable end, and the front has one window and a door to the left, with two windows to the right. Number 21 is an 18th-century building, although it may be older, constructed of red brick with a gable end to the street. It is two stories high, with one window facing the street and two windows on each side. It has sash and casement windows, and a tiled roof. The building is included on the list for its group value.
