Description

Tudor House, located on Earning Street in Godmanchester, dates from around 1600 to 1603, as indicated by inscribed dates. This two-storey building features exposed timber framing and a tiled roof, constructed on an L-shaped plan. The entire upper storey projects over the street front and has a projecting gable at each end. Notable features include a well-preserved original doorway, several original mullion windows, and an original chimney stack on the east wing, along with a large central stack made of 19th-century white brick. The gables also feature an oriel window, and there is a 19th-century canted bay window.
