Description

CORPUS CHRISTI COLLEGE 1. 942 New Buildings [Nos 55 to 59 (consec) Trumpington Street] TL 4458 SE 6/324 18.5.67. II 2. Known as the 'New Buildings. The numbers refer to business premises, there are students' rooms above. 1826, from the Office of William Wilkins. Grey gault brick with stone dressings. In the Gothic style. 3 storeys and basement, 2 windows, 1:1. Canted bay through basement, ground and 1st floors. String courses on the top floor forming drip moulds over the windows. 3-light windows with stone mullions. Panelled doors in fourcentred arches, the door of No 57 is blocked. Castellated and gabled at roof level, roof not visible. Good cast-iron area railings. (RCHM.)
