Description

The former National Westminster Bank, located at No 10 Bene't Street, was built in 1866 in the Gothic style by architect Horace Francis. The building features white brick with stone dressings and notable carving, along with buttresses and Gothic windows. It has three storeys and a basement, with the main entrance doorway set at an angle. The bank is situated in a prominent position relative to King's Parade and is complemented by good cast iron area railings along the Trumpington Street frontage. No 10, along with Nos 12, 13, and the Church of St Bene't, forms a cohesive group.
