Description

The bridge over the River Welland was rebuilt in 1841 and is constructed of sandstone ashlar. It features three segmental arches with rusticated voussoirs, which are separated by pilasters that rise from rounded cutwaters. Above, there is a dentillated cornice that supports a plain panelled parapet, complete with square piers and coping. At both ends of the bridge, there are battered screen walls that terminate in rectangular piers. This structure is also located in the Parish of Deeping Gate, within the Peterborough District of Cambridgeshire.
