Description

No. 27 on Church Street is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble and features flush quoins. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with Belgian tiles, complete with a coped gable end and small shaped kneelers. The building has one storey and an attic, with two casement windows, which include both 19th-century and modern styles. A large central gabled stone porch is a prominent feature, along with a wedge-shaped dormer. There are brick chimney stacks at each end. Additionally, there is a single-storey extension at the north end with a tiled roof and a one-storey flat roof extension at the rear.
