Description
The Priory is an 18th-century house that has undergone extensive additions and alterations in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed stone with flush quoins and features a Collyweston stone roof. The central section appears to be the original 18th-century house, characterized by a hipped roof and three storeys, with one sash window on each floor, including a three-light sash on the top floor. A late 19th-century corbelled gable feature is present on the first floor, with a gabled buttress below and flanking sashes set in a splay. To the west, there is a two-storey section that is either 18th-century or early 19th-century, featuring one window with sashes, and the gable end faces the churchyard. To the east, a mid-19th-century addition rises to two storeys and has a two-window range with sashes in ashlar surrounds that include keyblocks. This section also has a panelled door with a rectangular fanlight and stone chimney stacks, one of which has 19th-century crenellation.
