The building is constructed of whitewashed stone and features a steeply pitched asbestos slate roof with gabled ends. It is one storey high with an attic and has a two-window range. The windows are 19th-century three-light casements, and there is a central 19th-century panelled door. The cottage also has two wedge-shaped dormers and end chimney stacks made of brick and stone. A modern extension has been added to the east end, which is roughcast and has a steep slate roof.
