Description
The barn adjoining the north of Wothorpe Farmhouse is a 17th-century structure. It is built from coursed ironstone rubble with freestone dressings and features a steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with coped gable ends. The barn has buttressed front and back walls and stands three storeys tall.
On the upper level, there are three small stone gabled loft doors with cornices, along with another wooden loft doorway that includes a hoist. The first floor has a row of nine small rectangular stone openings, also with cornices. The ground floor features larger window openings with cornices and a wide central stone pilastered doorway topped with an entablature.
Additionally, there is a later wooden cupola over the northeast end of the barn, and a late 19th-century one-storey brick lean-to at the front.
