Description
These are two early 17th-century cottages situated on Woodcroft Road, Water End, Marholm. The cottages are constructed of coursed stone with large flush quoins and have a thatched roof with gabled ends. They are one storey high with an attic. The front has a three-window range, featuring two- and three-light stone mullion windows with cornices and ovolo moulding. Two eyebrow dormers are present, each with casement windows and leaded panes. There are two doorways, one with a plank door and the other with a moulded stone frame containing a four-centred arch. The ridge and end stacks are rendered. A 19th-century red brick extension with a lower slate roof is located at the west end, and it is two storeys high with a single bay.
