Description

Nos 2 to 8 on Castle Street is a mid-19th century building featuring a late Victorian shop front. It is constructed of Luton grey brick and has a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has a panelled eaves cornice. The facade is five bays wide and two bays deep. The first and second floors each have five double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and gauged brick heads. Additionally, the first floor includes a carved out niche at the south-east corner, which is cement rendered, situated above a typical Luton corner doorway.
