Description

This urn is one of a group of ten identical urns located in the private garden on the south side of Woburn Abbey. It is likely from the early 19th century and is made of marble, standing approximately 2 meters high on a limestone plinth. The plinth is rectangular with a moulded base and cap. The urn features fluting on the foot and stem, gadrooning at the base of the bowl, and moulded decoration on the lip, just below which is a band of husks.
