Description

This is a late 18th century building on Church Street, originally two storeys high. The exterior is of brick, which has been refaced with cement to imitate stone. It features a cornice and a tiled roof. The building was most likely designed as a unit with the coach house at number 37, due to a shared stone base and matching long-and-short quoins at both east and west ends. They are designed to complement the main building at number 37. A timber-framed rear wing dates from an earlier period. Numbers 1 to 39 (odd), along with the Courthouse, form a group with number 127 Dunstable Street.
