Description
Brook House is a house dating from the 16th century, constructed with a timber frame and covered in colourwashed roughcast render. It features clay tile roofs and has an original two-storey T-plan layout. The front elevation displays a jettied first floor. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light casements, while the first floor has one 3-light and one 2-light casement, all with leaded lights. A 20th-century glazed door is located on the right-hand side. To the right gable, there is a 20th-century two-storeyed jettied block that matches the original style and includes 2-light and 3-light leaded casements.
On the west elevation, the gable end of the main block on the right has 3-light casements on both floors, with the ground floor window featuring glazing bars and the first floor having leaded lights. The left-hand block includes a 2-light casement with glazing bars on the ground floor, and a 3-light casement and a single light, both with leaded lights, on the first floor. There is a lean-to porch at the angle of the building. A red brick double ridge stack is positioned close to the junction with the main block, and the main block has wavy edged bargeboards on both gable ends.
