Description
Beal House and Cranbrook is a house that has been divided into two properties. It dates from the early 19th century, and it may encase an earlier structure, with extensions added in the late 19th century. Beal House features colourwashed roughcast render and a slate roof, while Cranbrook is constructed of colourwashed brick with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and an irregular plan.
Beal House has a symmetrical facade with two-light pointed-arched casement windows that include diamond lattice lights. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a pointed-arched fanlight with lattice work lights. It also has red brick chimney stacks. Cranbrook features two semi-octagonal two-storeyed bay windows that contain sash windows. The entrance has a six-panel door with a semi-circular fanlight above, which is adorned with ornamental radiating glazing bars.
