Description

This statue, located 20 metres southeast of the stable block at Southill Park, is a notable piece of art from the early 19th century. Created by Sir Henry Cheere, it was purchased in 1812 by Samuel Whitbread II. The statue depicts a standing male figure holding a smoking or flaming dish, likely representing a seer. It is supported on a Coade stone plinth, making the entire structure approximately 2.5 metres high.
