Description
Shillington Bury is a house, now divided into three dwellings, with origins dating back to the 16th century and reworked in the 19th century. It features a timber-framed construction with roughcast render, while the ground floor has been rebuilt in brick, and the entire structure is colourwashed. The roofs are covered with clay tiles. The building is two storeys high and has an H-plan layout with various additions at the rear.
On the west elevation, each cross-wing has one window on each floor, while the central block has two windows on each floor, all of which are sash windows. There is a central gabled brick porch that has a glazed door topped by a semi-circular fanlight. The left-hand cross-wing has an integral chimney stack on the side wall, and the right-hand cross-wing features a substantial external chimney stack made of red brick with some coursed rubble. Additionally, there is a small 20th-century flat roof addition on the left gable.
