Description

No. 39, Timbletoo, is a house dating from the 17th century. It is timber framed with colourwashed plaster infill, and has clay tile roofs, with some 20th-century tile replacements. The house is arranged in a T-shape. It is two storeys high. The windows are casements, most with glazing bars. The south elevation shows the main block and the right-hand gable each with one casement window on each floor. A lower block to the left has one ground-floor casement. A 20th-century lean-to porch is situated at the junction between the main block and the lower left block, and continues the roof slope of the lower block. A red brick ridge stack with a moulded cornice is at the left-hand end of the main block. To the north, a single-storey addition projects from the lower block, and there is a slated lean-to within the angle of the main block.
