Description
Ivy House is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a clay tile roof. The building has a double pile plan and is two storeys high, with a front block that has a three-room layout and includes attics. There are three sash windows with glazing bars on both the ground and first floors. The doorway, located to the right of the central bay, has a door made of three moulded panels and is topped by a flat hood supported by shepherd's crook pilaster brackets, which is a distinctive feature of the region. The eaves are adorned with a brick dentil cornice, and the gable ends have brick coping with moulded kneelers. There are red brick integral stacks at both gable ends. A single-storey outbuilding is attached to the west side of the house.
